About Jorge

Jorge Cruz was born and raised in San Francisco, and spent his youth exploring the Bay Area and drawing inspiration from the details around him. His inspiration was struck by anything, anywhere- but letters had always been an obsession. After finishing a degree for graphic design, he had accomplished another layer of artistry and at the same time, his appreciation for the simplicity of pen on paper grew. Soon he was merging his graphic design skills with his old forte of hand-illustrated drawings, and was taking on projects big and small to exact his skills.

Jorge is always a part of art and design shows around the Bay Area, and has done sign and chalk art for many local businesses. After using art at a young age to create new friendships, Jorge is still meeting and supporting fellow artists every day and has fostered a vast network of creativity and passion over what he has always known was his life’s work. He also finds inspiration in painting, photography, hand-painted signs, vintage advertisements, and screen-printing.
